Beliefs

We join together in worship and mission to proclaim that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God demonstrates his great love for the world and offers life-changing grace to everyone.
(John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

Through the celebration of baptism, the church rejoices in the new life that we experience through our faith-filled response to God. We acknowledge that in baptism we become one with God and one with the church of Jesus Christ.
(Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6)

By our weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper, we remember the sacrifice of Jesus, his eternal presence in the church, and our daily dependence on God’s grace. We welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.
(Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Through our personal, group, and congregational study of the Old and New Testaments, we come to know God and to discover God’s direction for our lives. We believe everyone is called to read and study the Bible, and as a church, we embrace our uniqueness and diversity.
(Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 2:15)

We hold that the Christian Church should strive for unity and peace in every area of life, and every disciple is called to be a minister of reconciliation and peace. Women, men, teenagers, and children are called to serve God through the ministry of the church.
(John 17:21, Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 4:3)
